‘The Power of Sound’ is the second event in the series of Malevich.io Symposiums. It explored the role of sound from communication, music, religious ceremonies, healing and therapeutic methods to sound as a weapon. Tracing its evolution from tribal chanting to digital download, the debate explored the nature of sound and its impact on contemporary society, communal experience in art and sound, as well as sound in science, spiritual ceremony and psychology.

‘What Art Means Today’, was the first Malevich.io Symposium which took place in July 2019 and marked the commencement of a series of Malevich.io launch events. World leading curator Hans-Ulrich Obrist moderated a panel on evolution of responsibility and new ideas of generosity, long-term director of Moderna Museet Daniel Birnbaum spoke about virtual reality and Golden Lion winner at Venice Biennale 2019 Lucia Pietroiusti spoke about ecology and the intelligence of trees. Artists Jeremy Shaw and Ed Fornieles presented their new projects on futurology co-produced with Malevich.io and Ed Fornieles also debuted his new work from his Finiliar series.
